Hades 2 - Sign Up For a Playtest

Developer Supergiant Games' 2020 roguelike Hades is getting its sequel. It's an ambitious decision that raises the stakes and offers more insight into the politics of family.

Melinoe is back in an attempt to take down Chronos the titan of time. On her way, she'll meet new gods and specters, including the personification of light Apollo, oscarreys the goddess of witchcraft Hecate, and the deity of retribution Nemesis.

1. Hades 2 Technical test

If you're a fan of Supergiant Games and their famous 2020 Roguelike Hades, then it might be worth your time to consider signing up for the technical test for the sequel. The studio has announced it's Early Access launch will be in the near future, and a test with a smaller number of people than the full 1.0 version will allow them to iron any bugs out.

It's easy to sign up by visiting the Steam page of the game and clicking the "request access" button. There are a limited number of spots available, however the majority of those who applies will be selected. The test's technical component will let players play the first level of Hades 2, with early-game characters systems, characters, and content. Those who clear the area will be "gently encouraged" to stop playing, and wait for the Early Access version, which will be available soon.

Supergiant also tweaked the gameplay slightly in the early access build, reducing some of the grinding required to unlock certain upgrades, and making it easier to move from one area to the next. There's a lot of work to be done before the game can be released full release, but the studio has made it clear that it's keen to maximize player feedback and continue to fine-tune Hades 2 to a perfect state.

Supergiant is famous for its ability to listen to its players, and resolve any issues that might arise. This is evident in the way it dealt with the early access release of Hades 2 It could be some time before the full version launches but it's already worthy of a spot on your gaming shelf alongside its predecessor.

3. Hades 2 Beta

Hades was a roguelike that was like none other when it came out in the year 2018. The game received numerous awards and is regarded as one of the most enjoyable games ever created. It's not a surprise that the game was so popular with people, thanks to its rich and compelling narrative which is rooted in Greek mythology, stories of family struggles and LGBTQ+ representation which feels organic and inclusive. It was not a surprise to those who loved the film when Supergiant announced that a sequel was in the in the works.

Seven years on from the original release, Hades 2 is finally entering early access. While it doesn't change much mechanically, the love and time that Supergiant put into Hades 2 is clear from the beginning.

According to the Steam page of Hades 2, "the game brings back all the elements that made it so special in the first isometric view: clearing rooms, identifying boons, and unleashing powerful attacks, the Hub World with an actor fully voiced character to speak with and learn from, as well as the ever-changing Underworld."

In addition to these new features, the technical test adds some new ones as well. You can unlock permanent upgrades for Melinoe and a brand new weapon. You can also train witchy companions, uncover mysteries at the Arcana Altar and oscar reys gather reagents to increase your skills.

The most exciting new feature to the game is probably Omega attacks. These are new ways to increase the power of your spells and weaponry. By using these attacks you can boost your magick gauge and unleash devastating strikes with a huge area of impact. This is a novel way to add an additional dimension to the battle of combat.

Hades 2 beta is available both on Steam and Epic Games Store. The date of release for the full version of the game is unknown However, Supergiant has pledged to keep fans informed as they work towards the 1.0 release in 2024. You can wishlist the full version of the game for either the console or PC to be notified when it is available.

4. Hades 2 Release Date

After a successful technical test, the roguelike dungeon crawler Hades 2 has launched into early access on PC. Supergiant Games' sequel follows Melinoe's quest to find her father's freedom and destroy Chronos. Hades 2 promises all the fantastic mechanics of its award-winning predecessor with an adaptation of the story that is rooted in Greek mythology and the emergence of witchcraft.

People who want to get their hands on the game can do so on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Early access purchasers can play all future versions. Hades 2 will be released in its entirety at the end of 2024.
